Renowned Maestro Daniele Gatti conducts the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Gustav Mahler’s monumental Third Symphony in Guangzhou. Embodying Mahler’s vision of the symphony as a work that “embraces everything”, this six-movement masterpiece traverses a vast emotional landscape – from anguish to love, from earthly passion to transcendent spirituality. The performance features mezzo-soprano Michèle Losier; Ladies of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Chorus and the Hong Kong Children’s Choir join for the heavenly fifth movement, “What the Angels Tell Me”
