Michèle Losier

Michèle Losier is celebrated worldwide as a concert singer. In 2024/25, she can be heard repeatedly with Mahler's 3rd Symphony, with the Brussels Philharmonic, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden and Orchestre national de Metz Grand Est. Recent highlights include Mendelssohn's Lobgesang with the RAI in Turin, Elijah with Santa Cecilia in Rome, Rückert-Lieder at the Maggio Musicale and Mahler's 2nd Symphony at the George Enescu Festival. She has performed with orchestras such as Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Les Musiciens du Louvre, BBC Symphony, Montreal Metropolitan, Toronto Symphony and Seattle Symphony. Her concert repertoire includes Berlioz's L'enfance du Christ, Beethoven's Ninth, Missa solemnis, Ravel's Shéhérazade, Mahler's Lied von der Erde, Kindertotenlieder, Petite messe solennelle and Mozart's Requiem.

 

In roles such as Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier), Composer (Ariadne auf Naxos), Charlotte (Werther), Nicklausse (Les contes d'Hoffmann), Ascagne (Les Troyens), Judith (Bluebeard's Castle), Jane Seymour (Anna Bolena) and in many Mozart roles, she has appeared at opera houses in Vienna, Paris, London, New York, Milan, Munich, Berlin, Salzburg, Barcelona, Florence, Rome, Genève, Hamburg, San Francisco, Washington and Brussels, amongst others. Michèle Losier has worked with conductors such as Daniele Gatti, Zubin Mehta, Philippe Jordan, Ingo Metzmacher, Kazushi Ono, Ádám Fischer, Louis Langrée, Marc Minkowski, Kent Nagano, Sir Andrew Davis, Daniel Barenboim, Sir Colin Davis, Placido Domingo and Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

 

She has received numerous awards, including from the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec, Canada Council for the Arts, Journées de la Musique Française, Canadian Music Competition, Chant de Marmande and Queen Elisabeth Competition. She can be heard in many CD and DVD productions.
