PROGRAMME
EDVARD GRIEG | Holberg Suite: Prelude
BRUCE ADOLPHE | Tyrannosaurus Sue: A Cretaceous Concerto
Who doesn’t love dinosaurs? This family concert will transport you back in time to the Cretaceous period to meet T-Rex Sue in a musical story composed by Bruce Adolphe (b. 1955), who was inspired by the largest set of complete dinosaur bones in the Field Museum in Chicago. Hear how T-Rex Sue will be vividly portrayed by our trombone player Kevin Thomson.
Along the way, palaeontologist Dr Michael Pittman will present interesting facts about these long extinct but fascinating creatures.
